OSHA 10 Hour-General Industry – Sept 3-4, 2025 (In Person Only)

Course Description

Our OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course is a voluntary program with the purpose of promoting workplace safety and health, and to make workers more knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights. Students will be provided with basic safety and health information and education. Please note: this course will not fulfill an employer’s requirement to provide training under specific OSHA standards.

Key Topics/Goals/Objectives

Students will be provided with training on the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of workplace hazards in general industry. This course will also provide students with overview information regarding OSHA, including workers’ rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint.

Who Should Attend?

Our OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course is primarily intended for entry-level workers, with the goal of providing workers with awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards.

Why Should You Attend?

Employees will leave the course with knowledge related to hazards they may encounter while on the job. They will also leave with an understanding of the hazard assessment process: hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention of hazards. Through this training, workers will have the information needed to understand about workplace hazards, workers’ rights, and contribute to our nation’s productivity. Please note: this course is a voluntary program and does not meet the training requirements for any OSHA standards.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive an OSHA 10-Hour General Industry course completion card in the mail.


Schedule

Registration: 8:15a.m.-8:30a.m. (day 1 only)
Course: 8:30a.m.-4:00p.m. (day 1)
8:30a.m.-12:30p.m. (day 2)
Lunch: 12:00-12:30 (day 1) provided

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Attend this course and earn 1.0 CEUs from the Wisconsin Safety Council.

OSHA Cards

Students successfully completing the course receive a wallet-size completion card from the U.S. Department of Labor-OSHA. The cards will be mailed to students after course completion.
